Cairn

Terms

The rules, in plain English.

Using Cairn means agreeing to these terms. They're written to be readable. If any part is unclear, write to us at hello@cairnsalong.com.

Your memorial, your rules

Content you add to Cairn belongs to you and the curator of the memorial you added it to. You grant Cairn a non-exclusive license to store and display that content only as necessary to run the service on your behalf.

Keep it true and kind

  • Don't impersonate someone, alive or dead.
  • Don't post content that would cause harm — harassment, threats, doxxing.
  • Respect the family's wishes. If a curator removes or edits your content, they have that right.

Reporting

Any signed-in person can report a memory or comment. Reports go to the memorial's curator and, for platform-level issues (impersonation, abuse), to Cairn's Trust & Safety team.

Deletion and takedowns

You can delete your own contributions at any time. Curators can delete memorials; we remove all associated media within 30 days. Cairn reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms.

No warranty

Cairn is provided as-is. We do our best to keep memorials safe and available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Export regularly if the content matters.

Changes

When these terms change in substance, we'll notify contributors and give 30 days before the changes take effect. Editorial updates (typos, clarifications) may happen silently.
